My Poster

Thu Apr 30, 2020 2:38 am

Finally got around to mounting my unit. Besides cleaning up the cables by adding electrical behind it looks great. Should I build a frame around it or leave it as is?

Looks nice. If it were me, I'd probably leave it as is with no frame since the borders are already very minimalist and clean looking. It's a personal preference, though.

Kind of what I'm leaning towards, no bezel or Manufacturer label to hide.

Yeah, I would definitely leave as is. What make and model is it?

MidnightWatcher here is what I have. I'll be putting a second one up just outside the theatre room (if the wife approves lol)

Were you able to get the poster working properly with your NAS?

Yes and no. Not 100% certain for the actual issue was, maybe a flakey hardrive in my Kodi Media Computer. I'm using this https://www.thebookpc.com/fanless-nexco ... s-b533.htm and I happended to have a few extras kicking around. So I just reloaded from scratch Libreelec on it another unit, set it up and it works.

The original I tried just resetting to factory settings and that didn't work, but I did not try a complete wipe.

It had nothing to do with the Movienow running on my Raspberry Pi or the settings configuration as I didn't change any of that.

looks super clean and minimalistic! :o
I would leave it as it is with the thin border!!
Love the minimal look! Already thought about striping my display out of the case and paint the metal frame around the display black
