Flip display 180

Sun Mar 08, 2020 4:05 pm

I need to flip the image 180 degrees. What should I edit and change?

Nevermind. I found it in a post on AVS:

yes you need to edit a file called config.txt , the path is /boot/config.txt

and change/add in the bottom.

display_rotate=0
display_rotate=1
display_rotate=2
display_rotate=3

0 is the normal configuration. 1 is 90 degrees. 2 is 180 degress. 3 is 270 degrees.

and then reboot.

Anybody know how to do this for the RPi4? The solution above is only for the RPi2/3.

connect with ssh in Movienow

username: pi
password: movienow

and run this command to rotate:

sudo bash
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output HDMI-1 --rotate normal
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output HDMI-1 --rotate left
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output HDMI-1 --rotate right
DISPLAY=:0 xrandr --output HDMI-1 --rotate inverted

let me know if it works

thanks for posting this, needed to flip mine. just wanted to add, you still have to sudo bash before you able to make edits to the file.
